The latest version of MatLab (version 7.4.0.287 / 2007a / released March-2007) has been installed on ANCHOR. It has also been installed on other core / shared workgroup servers (Jade, Cargo, KT-4800).

Note that the DEFAULT matlab launched by the command "matlab" remains UNCHANGED on anchor (for reasons of compatability with legacy data anlysis scripts that simply call "matlab"). To launch the new version specifically, be sure to issue the command:

/opt/matlabR2007a/bin/matlab

Any individual workstation users who would like the new verson should arrange with Tim a conveninent time for the work to take place (it is a ~15-20minute procedure). Note that a single machine may have multiple version of matlab installed concurrently if you wish - although you are only able to use one version at any given instant.
