Please be advised, all inbound mail sent to @DAL.CA email addresses is very slow, due to a backlog of mail on the central (UCIS) mail servers. Problems started on Tuesday the 5th with "electrical issues" in the server room; the backlog was further compouned with other issues on Wednesday the 6th and they are still trying to clear the queue.

I believe mail is not being lost, however, delivery times are "signficantly delayed".

Note that mail sent within USER@phys.ocean.dal.ca (to other users in POLAN) remains snappy and responsive during this time :-)
